George II Oak Bureau Bookcase
An impressive George II oak bureau bookcase. The top with architectural pediment and arabesque carving above well-shaped raised panelled doors, opening to reveal the original oak shelves. The bureau with a fitted interior made from yew and fruit wood containing numerous secret "sovereign" drawers. Standing on the original shaped ogee bracket feet. A wonderful piece of 18th Century furniture made in the North of England, circa 1725.
