A Pair of Late 16th Century Oak Balustrades
Of silhouette form, with stepped foot, beneath a flattened āSā scroll curve, deeply carved with stylised leaves, with a lovely rich colour and surface.
These would have been part of a very ornate staircase, from a very well-to-do household.
English, circa 1600.
