A Wonderful Small 16th Century Polychrome Panel

A lion, walking on hind legs, holds a palm in one paw, whilst leading a bridled horse with a lady riding side saddle and carrying a cornucopia of fruit and flowers.

During the 16^th and 17^th centuries, the lion was often associated with Dutch states.

Good original polychrome decoration.

Probably Dutch, circa 1600.
